Tonight we have a story written by Josh, 6-Z. Josh submitted the first story to the blog a few months ago, and gave me a new story to post yesterday at school. I took time to read it, and at the end he leaves us hanging, but I hope that just means that there is more to the story that we will read in months to come! Enjoy!
Chapter 1: Wrong Place, Wrong Time
Hey, my name is Andrew-Andrew Bitz-I have always been a good kid, but with the wrong crowd. This story will be a good example. My crew and I were walking down the street after we just got done trash talkin' some kids. Well, one of them called the police on us, so good thing I run track. We ran into an alley and hid in the shadows. After about ten minutes, we walked out. When we finally realized it was dark out, we decided to start walking home. As we were walking John King saw us--the school bully--and had the nerve to walk up to us.
"What's up little wanna-be gangsters", he said. That's when my friend Carlos decided to pull a gun on him. The first shot was when I made a run for it. Chris-my other friend-was right behind me. Carlos was just staring at John's limp body. I was almost home when I heard the sirens. They were maybe a mile away, but they could also go 70 mph. I could only go 7 mph. That's when I finally realized I'm 17 and can be put in jail. That's when I turned and hid in the alley. I jumped in the hearest trash can and sat down. My mind was racing to fast I thought I was going to black out. I didn't, so I thought for a second, "If they don't catch Carlos, or Chris, and I get caught, I will have first-degree murder against me." I thought out loud!
"Hey, who's there?" the officer said.
Now I was really flippin' out. Then all of a suddent the trash can lid flung open. The last thing I remember was, "You have the right to remain silent."
