Prologue
First thing I remember when I woke up was a room with many lights too bright to see, and then I blanked out again. Again I woke up and in a room with a man I forgot what happened then he started to speak.
Chapter 1
"You're not human, you're a clone of someone very famous, this person was an assassin and you will take on her job." said the man in white.
I looked around. My name was experiment 2126, but they call me Pheobe. I so far have no feelings I feel nothing and I can't even remember how I got here. All I know is that I'm not human, I'm just a clone. They gave me my first mission. I would be targeting and eliminating any person who got in my way from this mission. So I now know I'm number 2126 and I'm not human. I can break free and become human, but I need to earn their trust. Details of my mission is to find and eliminate any spies the person who gave me the mission his name is Mike. "Where can I find Mike?" I asked with expression. "You'll know, but first let me see your arm. I need to put an emocon program in your arm so you can only smile, laugh, and frown." he said then I blanked out again. I woke up in a car and I had a file thrown in my lap. It said "Mission 1" and I opened it.
It said, "Mission 1" Terminate anyone who's in your way. Another part spy-name-unknown, country-unknown, HIdden-yes, Terminate, on sight. Very Dangerous.
"Huh? You want me to kill that dude?"
"Read the next part." said Mike.
"Ok."
Part two-Assistant, yes. Who-unknown, Eliminate-yes, purpose-to kill anyone who gets in their way.
"Ok. Now is this guy, person, thing, real? Or is it fake? Oh and how old? I said. Emocon program.
Also, I don't know, this person has been reported to look like a middle schooler so you're going to the local middle school. School is Hawkeye." said Mike.
I looked out the window. I wondered around once we got out. I saw field nothing but fields.
"What's this?" I asked.
"The place where we picked up the spy signal." said Mike.
"How old was this assassin anyway?" I asked, looking out at the field starting to walk toward it. I heard Mike say, "11. You know, the whole world thinks you're dead. Hey! What are you doing? Get out of there, it's a trap!"
Then all the sudden like a bolt of lightening another man popped out of the ground, carrying a sword. He saw me then he drew out his sword. I had mine too already out. Our swords clanked, I saw him before. The spy!
"So you're alive after all I thought I finished you off!" he said angrily.
"You didn't" I said as I went for another shot.
"Darn missed!" And then I tried and retreated because another guy the assistant.
"Hello. This chat will be your last." the person said.
"Ha! Thats not the first time I heard that line!" I said smirking.
"I've got to go, master's calling, watch your back!" the guy said before I realized it was a girl not a boy I was fighting. I blanked out again.
Next thing I know I'm in a house with Mike sitting there reading the mission log.
"How come I keep blanking out?" I asked as I go and get a glass of water.
"Because you are not used to your body yet", he said getting up.
I walk outside and see people, well kids, running, having a good time.
"I wish I knew who they were so I could go out." I said.
"Oh. But, you do! You see they think they know you and oh and what's his name?" he said pointing to a brown hairded kid "Nick" I said.
"See, you have the same thing, you know them at least you think you do!" Mike said.
"Wanna come play?" said Nick.
"Sure." I said.
I walked outside and lots of people were there. I couldn't believe this. How come I have memories but not even human? Feelings I think. Memories, nothing. I can't feel anything. I don't think I'm a clone so what am I?
"Mike" I say as I come back from being outside, "Am I a clone or am I something else? Because I can't feel or anything!"
"You are certainly a clone but a different type of clone," he said while drinking a pop.
I go and explore the house. This one room gave me a burst of something. I don't know, it was like a flashback of...of a kid.
The kid was unwrapping something. It looked like a present. In it was something weird. A sword...my sword!
"Hey...what are you doing? Get out of there! Oh God. Not again. Not another memory." said Mike as I was sparking like a robot. I only know this because of a camera. And now I know I'm something else other than a clone. I found but I was programmed to look like and talk like a real human but I don't feel human and there's a good reason. I have no friends, no life, and no past. I don't even remember anything, but in that room I saw something that I don't know what it is.
A memory.
Flashback: "Come on and open your presents. It is Christmas time!" said the man.
"Okay, Dad!" a girl around 9 or 8 said and thought hard...it...it was me and that's my father and there's my mother! I came downstairs after seeing part of my past. Also I forgot I sparked, what does that mean? Am I not allowed to see my past?
"Mike! What happened? How come if I'm a clone I have this memory?" I said.
The getting up from being on the computer he said "You're a different type of clone. You can remember things the original person did but your program tries to reject it because it's unusual. It's like getting a cold for the first time your body doesn't know how to react."
After that I got my stuff and left. I wanted out of there and I wanted out now. I got outside and turned the corner.
"Where do you think you're going?!" shouted MIke.
Then I turned and said, "Out of here! I'm not some experiment! I had another memory! You said you will try a human clone for the first time in history right before the original me died."
I started running only to find myself lost. The woods. It's hard to describe, but I will try. It's cold, wet, muddy, and quiet. I heard something and ran faster, it was catching up. Fast. My whole first life was it all a...a...lie? Was I some experiment gone wrong? I hope I can leave, I never want to see MIke's face or his stupid lab again! Now I'm determined to become a real person, and Mike gave me all the information I need. All I need to do I finish this mission to get it out of my way and the become human! It's going to be hard but I can and I will make it! I stopped cold in my tracks.
Another memory...
Why am I back at Mike's? No, it's my house! "Give me all your money and I won't hurt your daughter! Put it in the bug" said a man with a hood.
"Ok, just hold on how-how much do you want?"
"At least a couple hundred" said the hooded guy.
"We don't have a couple hundred dollars. Only $200 in the bank." said my Dad.
"Too bad. Then you guys won't see day ever again and I think I'll start with...umm....you."
He looked at my Mom and Dad. Then boom, they hit the floor. Next thing I knew I was trying to wake then up. I knew I was next but I did something I thought I would never do...I let him do what he wanted, he he took our money but he knew I would call 911, so he did the same as he did to my parents and I found myself laying there. MIke...I saw him, that's when he made his promises. Then I left his world.
It all happened in a flash. I was back to reality the footsteps are getting louder so what could I do?
I ran like crazy.
"No! No! No! No! No! No! Not a dead end!"
This is not right. I knew the woods the train lead to here! So I said, "All I can do is sit here, and wait for everything to happen."
The footsteps stopped and a person I saw in one of my flashbacks, "Brooke?" I said.
"Hey, oh my gosh you're...you're alive? But you died?"
She said, "No, I'm just a clone but I need help. I need to get out of here, I can still die. I'm not really Pheobe you know that?" I said.
Brooke then came over and hugged me. She said, "You've been dead for one month. Your whole school is still sad."
I looked up and saw a helicopter and it was looking for...me.
Brooke said, "Here, follow me. I know where to go. Come hurry or they'll get you."
I followed her and found myself in a secret hideout. "Wow!!!" I thought. "I know you're not her but I still wanna help. Well the truth is I am part of this mission." said Brooke.
I looked at her and then I walked to a tree and said Best Friend 4ever Brooke & Sandra & Cora & Sam. I said it out loud. I wouldn't move and Brooke fell to the ground.
"BROOKE!" I yelled. Then the thing that served the guy that was trying to kills us and take over the world came out.
"Well, well, who do we have here? You're supposed to sense when someone's around you, but I guess Mike didn't program that." He said as he was kneeling down next to Brooke, and then took out the Dart. "The gives us about 30 minutes 'till she wakes up." He said looking at the Dart.
"You'll never make me go with you!" I said while still standing still because he has me in some sort of trap. He got up and walked over to me and said, "Not if you want her to live."
Then he got out some sort of purple liquid that looked like...Poison!
"Shame that I have to kill her. She could've been useful."
I then said, "Fine. I'll go with you if you leave everyone alone."
He smirked, nodded, and then we were back in the field. I thought to myself, "I wonder what will happen."
We went up to a entrene.
I found myself underground in a some kind of fort...no, the headquarters! I wonder if Brooke is okay. Well, she must be. She has to be. I remembered the tree with the names on it. I must have had a lot of friends, but I had more enemies than friends. My shoes made a clicking noise. Click, click, click. All the sudden the man knelled down to a person I the shadows. "My Lord I caught the Girl. What should we do now?" he said.
When the man in the shadows spoke, he made me shudder and a chill went down my spine at the same time. I don't ever want to feel that again. Not now n-not ever!
"Let's make her our puppet shall we?" the man said "Zito go and get everything ready."
"Yes my Lord." Zito said.
Next thing I knew was I was becoming...a puppet?
